The algorithm’s objective is to extract and analyze grapevines from 3D point clouds. It aims to identify and segment individual grapevines in the point cloud data, enabling further analysis and understanding of their structure and distribution.

Canopy characteristics are also extracted from the dataset to further analyze the grapevines. A plot of these for the subset of the dataset is shown in the figure below:
